HIV Scare Forces Porn Industry Shutdown

Industry might now consider putting on a glove before making love.

The American adult film industry, which is basically the last remaining profitable venture in the U.S. at this point, has been all but temporarily shut down after a performer has tested positive on a preliminary test for HIV. The Free Speech Coalition, the industry's leading trade association, has recommended a moratorium on all shoots as calls mount for the industry to start following California's law requiring condoms in all pornography. This isn't the first HIV scare to halt the industry (well, at least the professional, largely Califonia-based aspects of it), but the unnamed actor (or actress) could be the tipping point for greater promotion of safe sex in adult films. It's not like a little rubber would prevent millions upon millions of men and women around the world from enjoying porn, anyway.
