Having trouble following the the three stage parliamentary vote? That's probably the idea.
Egyptian media has announced the dates for the country’s first parliamentary elections since the end of Mubarak’s 30-year-rule. On November 21st, voting for the lower house or “People’s Assembly” will begin, concluding on January 3rd. The upper house or “Shura Council” elections will run from January 22nd to March 4th. The judiciary will monitor the election, which will use a combination of a proportional system and geographical allocation of seats. The presidential poll has not yet been set, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from campaigning. An official election announcement from the ruling military council is expected September 26.
