Tim Hortons Opens First Store in Dubai

'Dubai Dubai's, anyone?

Noted coffee and donuts purveyor Tim Hortons has just opened its first store in Dubai, the first time the chain has opened a location outside of North America. The opening was apparently met by a lineup of expat Canadians in the United Arab Emirates looking for a taste of home. Tim Hortons has a few stores scattered around the U.S. and self-serve booths in the U.K., but beyond the temporary Tims that served Canadian troops at Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan, the Dubai shop is the first permanent franchise in the eastern hemisphere.
