McGuinty to Skip Northern Ontario Debate

Will be confirming stereotypes about southern Ontario elitism in Toronto and Hamilton instead.
Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty won't be joining his NDP and Progressive Conservative counterparts onstage in Thunder Bay this morning for a leaders' debate on issues in northern Ontario. McGuinty says the debate conflicts with events he's scheduled in Toronto, Hamilton, and Kitchener, which is bound to sit well with voters in Kenora and Dryden, we're sure. Both Andrea Horwath and Tim Hudak say McGuinty's snub makes it look like he doesn't care about the province's huge, sparsely populated, and mineral-rich North. Either way, Horwath and Hudak will be there to get there debating feet wet ahead of next week's province-wide debate. Today's debate kicks off at 11 a.m. You can watch it live here if you're so inclined.
