Woman to Broadcast Giving Birth on Internet

Natural birth advocate wants to demystify the art of giving birth at home.

An Ottawa woman says she will broadcast the birth of her third child live over the Internet to promote the benefits of giving birth to a child at home. Nancy Selgueiro, a 32-year-old chiropractor and natural birth activist, has already posted videos of her giving birth to her first two kids online, but her next child – due on or before Oct. 7 – will be the first time she's streamed it live. If you're keen on watching Selgueiro bring a new life into this world, head on over to yourbirthcoach.com, sign up, and sit patiently as you wait for her water to break. Her two-year-old son, Taivus, will cut the newborn's umbilical cord, too. Selgueiro says she hopes the experience will help take some stigma and mystery away from childbirth, and that she's aiming to stay quiet throughout the ordeal.
