Night at the Museum

Nuit Blanche hits Toronto tonight. There will be fire machines and several shiny things.

Toronto is bracing itself for its fifth annual Nuit Blanche, a night of cultural exploration and terrible, terrible traffic. Watch artists pushing a boulder down the street, see what it’s like to get arrested at the Toronto Police Station (because the next Canucks’ game is a long way away), or have a group sleepover at an abandoned subway station. Why? Because it's free. The festival includes 130 art projects by 500 artists at locations across the city. As museums, art exhibits, and the subway remain open all night, this year’s festival promises to leave visitors wondering: is it art?
