PCs, Liberals Neck and Neck in Final Ont. Election Poll

Poll of the day: PCs are leading by the slimmest of margins across the province, but are trailing badly in seat-rich Toronto.
Election day in Ontario is tomorrow, and it's shaping up to be a nail-biter, as one of the last polls of the campaign finds Progressive Conservatives hanging on to a three-point lead ahead of the incumbent Liberals. Thirty-six per cent of respondents in the Angus Reid-Toronto Star poll said they would vote for Tim Hudak's Progressive Conservatives, while 33 per cent said they'd vote for Dalton McGuinty's Liberals. Another 26 per cent support Andrea Horwath's NDP, and five per cent say they'll vote Green. The split between the PCs and Liberals is within the margin of error, making this one of the closest elections in recent Ontario history. The same poll found that while the Tories might be leading provincially, they still face bleak prospects in Toronto, where it's likely that they'll be shut out of the city's 23 seats once again. A party needs 54 seats to win a majority, and without a single seat in Toronto, the PCs would need to pick up 54 of the province's 84 other seats to complete the Tory Trifecta.
