Another Satellite to Crash into Earth

And the odds of Satellite of Death II hitting someone are nearly twice as good as last time.
Hey, remember that giant, six-ton NASA satellite that crashed into the ocean a couple weeks ago? Well, we guess this is a phenomenon we're going to have to get used to, as debris from an X-ray space telescope weighing nearly three tons will soon plummet back to Earth at the end of the month, and again we don't know just when or where the wreckage will land. Putting aside the notion that a German X-ray space telescope sounds like something from a James Bond movie, some observers have put the odds of debris hitting a human at one in 2,000, which is significantly higher than the one in 3,200 odds given for NASA's Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite's re-entry last month. This German X-ray telescope was sent into orbit in 1990, but its developers haven't been able to contact the telescope since 1999. The telescope, named ROSAT, was the first to take X-ray photos of the moon.
