Great. Just as some of us were finally getting good at NHL 2012.
Sony has blocked 100,000 people from the PlayStation Network due to what appears to be another attempt by hackers to breach the electronics company's online gaming network. The company said today that it had spotted a rash of unauthorized login attempts, which forced it to freeze thousands of accounts to protect against more private data being hacked. In May, hackers stole credit card and address information from more than 100 million PlayStation Network accounts, an attack that led many to question the security of the popular gaming console. Sony says no data has been stolen in this latest breach, and it has temporarily blocked those accounts as a precautionary measure.
