Teen Condom Use Way Up

American teens are just as, umm, hormonal as they ever were, they're just a lot more responsible now.
Eighty per cent of sexually active American teenagers use condoms when they have sex, according to an American government survey that found just 55 per cent of boys did so in 1988. That trend has helped America's teen birth rate fall by 40 per cent since 1991, hopefully foretelling an early end to the hit reality show/omen of the apocalypse Teen Mom. The survey's authors give some credit for the rise in safe sex to better sex education in public schools, although that really undersells the role that advances in condom technology have played. Also, girls between the ages of 15-19 are only slightly more likely to have had sex than boys, at 43 per cent to 42 per cent, although we guarantee that about 57.9 per cent of teen guys out there would like to fix that.
