NDP Still By Far the Most Popular in Quebec

Poll of the day: People surprisingly like the party they voted for just a couple of months ago.
A new poll finds that Quebecers are still pretty happy with voting NDP in the recent federal election, despite a national media dedicated to making them feel as though they must have been drunk or high or something when they cast ballots on May 2. A full 43 per cent of Quebecers say their support lies with the Nouveau Parti Democratique, followed by the Bloc Quebecois at 21 per cent, the Conservatives at 18 per cent, the Liberals at an appalling 11 per cent, and the Greens doing their single-digit thing at six per cent. It's almost as if voters in Quebec made a studied decision about who to vote for, did just that, and haven't been horribly turned off by their choice! Who woulda thunk it? NDP/NPD support is also pretty consistent across the entire province, as opposed to the pockets of Tory support around Quebec City and the Liberal bastions in Montreal. At least this bodes well for leadership hopeful Thomas Muclair's plans for a membership drive across the province.
