Dozens of animals escape an Ohio wildlife shelter, leading to a town-wide battle between man and nature.
Police in Zanesville, Ohio, are on the lookout for dozens of wild animals – cheetahs, wolves, bears, lions, giraffes, none of this raccoon nonsense – after they escaped from a wildlife preserve yesterday. The owner of the preserve was found dead, and 48 wild animals were released into the rural countryside, forcing authorities to close schools and essentially put the town on lockdown as they hunted down the animals. Police have already killed about 30 of the escaped animals, but schools remain closed while they patrol the town for any remaining animals. Besides the preserve's owner, no humans have been injured, although you'd think the animals would be entitled to at least some human flesh if they're all going to be mercilessly executed by local cops.
