The underwear sports world is in shock over the departure of the Toronto captain after just one game.
It is a tragic day for the Lingerie Football League, as Krista Ford, the Toronto Triumph captain/ niece of Mayor Rob Ford, has decided to quit after just one game. After the Triumph lost 48-14 to the Tampa Breeze, it let go four players and a coach, with the league saying that the players weren't dedicated enough to become pro athletes (...). Ford and a few others then quit the team in protest, saying what the team did to those four was unfair. Ford had been the marquee player for the nascent team, and the LFL had hoped that she would help solidify popularity for the league in Canada, as teams are expected to be created in Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Quebec City, and Calgary for next season. Ford's loss threatens to make the Triumph even less popular than her embattled politician uncle.
