More evidence there’s no link between cell phones and cancer
What’s been dubbed the largest study of its kind has found no link between cell phones and brain cancer. Researchers at the Institute of Cancer Epidemiology in Denmark examined roughly 350,000 people over 18 years to assess the impact of cell phone use. The team found that cell phone users did not have an increased risk of brain cancer, even among the longest-term users. Though the study didn't include children or business users, its results strongly suggest that phone use poses no additional overall risk (aside from becoming a horrible, vapid gossip). Meanwhile, the World Health Organization has cited other studies to warn that the phones could be carcinogenic and listed cell phones in the category of “potentially” carcinogenic alongside such dangerous substances as “coffee” and “pickled vegetables.”
