And the interviews-gone-wrong tally between the CBC and Rob Ford just keeps rising ...
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford called the cops yesterday morning as he was leaving his house to go to work over a television crew that had been camped outside. It turns out, however, that the crew, which rushed Ford as he and his daughter left the Etobicoke estate, was none other than that of This Hour Has 22 Minutes, the long-running satirical show that's pulled similar stunts on all manner of Canadian politicians. Usually, the results are pretty funny – such as when Geri Hall got herself arrested at a Stephen Harper campaign speech in 2008. But Ford wasn't laughing, saying he thought having a crew show up at his home that early "crosses the line," before hoping, kinda threateningly, that "someone else doesn’t do that again because I don’t want anything serious to happen." Anyhow, if you want to see how it all unfolded, check out 22 Minutes on CBC tonight.
