Now we’re a sports site!

If you woke up this morning and found that you were not located in an arctic coal mine, you may have heard that the St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series last night. It was kind of a big deal. After a disastrous start to the season, the little team that could beat the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game 7 and took the title of World Champions for the 11th time in history. It had been a rough, rough ride for the Missouri team after losing Adam Wainwright and Roy Halladay and returning from a couple of two-run deficits in Game 6 that left fans on the edge of their ketchup-covered seats until the very last second. David Freese was voted MVP (not to be confused with Mike Vinny Pauly) after a two-run double in the first inning.
