Social-networking behemoth discovers magical concept of "consent".
Mark Zuckerberg appears to have finally paid heed to the millions of Facebook users who complain every time the social-network rolls out some new doo-dad that nobody asked for: From now on, Facebook will now ask users to opt-in to any new ways that the social networking site shares personal information, instead of just assuming that users would want their private data distributed recklessly around the Internet. This change came about after the U.S. Federal Trade Commission began investigating Facebook over privacy concerns. Facebook has reportedly also hired an auditor to track their privacy settings for the next 20 years as well just to make sure Ol' Zucks fails to keep his more-evil tendencies in check.
