Two months after it all began, New York's Occupiers are rallying at the scene of the crime.
Today marks the two-month anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street protest in Manhattan, and despite being evicted from Zuccotti Park earlier this week, hundreds of protesters marched through downtown New York this morning. The protest began outside the New York Stock Exchange, where protesters said they would not allow any traders into the building. Clashes with police resulted in a number of protesters being arrested. Today's event is scheduled to culminate with a march across the Brooklyn Bridge, where 700 activists were arrested shortly after the Occupy movement began. The march coincides with the Occupy London movement, the U.K.'s biggest, being served a notice to disband from St. Paul's Cathedral by 6 p.m. tonight, and with a slew of cities in the U.S. and Canada similarly evicting their local Occupiers. Occupy Toronto had been served an eviction notice on Tuesday, but a court ordered an injunction against the eviction, allowing the camp site at St. James Park to stay open – for now.
