Tory MP Rob Anders Falls Asleep in House

MP becomes the living (well, sleeping) incarnation of his party's attitude toward the House of Commons.
Rob Anders is the Conservative MP representing the riding of Calgary West. He also neglected to get enough sleep Thursday night, or was so unbelievably bored by Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan's comments on clean drinking water for First Nations that he fell asleep last Friday at his House of Commons desk. His little nap time is all too reminiscent of the eternal struggle to stay awake in a purposefully stuffy Grade 10 math class. And while he's far from the first person to be put to sleep by the goings on of Parliament, he might be the first person, at least in our memory, to do so while getting paid to represent constituents in that very chamber.
