At the Liberal party meeting in Niagara this weekend, the Ontario premier confirmed he was not looking to lead.
Newly re-elected Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty has once again announced that he will not run for federal leadership of the Liberal Party, this time at the first party meeting since the election. McGuinty has been struggling to quell rumours that he might run since his brother, MP David McGuinty, suggested that he would be a good choice for the job. In response, Dalton said that his brother will be sitting at the little table at Christmas this year, and that he remains committed to his job in Ontario. McGuinty is the first Liberal premier to be elected for a third term in over a century.
