And nary a riot in sight!
The B.C. Lions are the 2011 CFL champions after dismantling the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 34 to 23 before a boisterous hometown crowd in Vancouver. Lions star quarterback Travis Lulay led the Lu-way for the Lions, airing out touchdown passes to Kierrie Johnson and Arland Bruce. The Blue Bombers' Buck Pierce, suffice it to say, had no such luck in the air despite a late-game push. The Lions' victory is their first Grey Cup since 2006, and the franchise's fifth overall. It was also the first time since 1994 that a team that hosted the Grey Cup also won it. Head Coach Wally Buono also ties for the most ever Grey Cups won by a coach with five.
