Ontario's Gr. 8 Students the Smartest

Which ought to equip them for the financial wastebasket that they're set to inherit.

Ontario might not have many jobs, or easily exploitable resources, or breathtaking ocean or mountain vistas, BUT the province does have some wicked smart pre-teens (via the Toronto Star):

Results from the 2010 Pan-Canadian Assessment Program test show Ontario is the only province whose [Grade 8] students were above the national average in all three subjects.
Ontario students were second only to their Quebec peers in the above-average math ranking, with 92 per cent of Ontario students meeting expected levels of performance and 50 per cent performing at the two highest levels of achievement.
Ontario students were second only to Alberta students in the above-average category in science, with females faring better than males.
The province was the only one whose students scored above average in reading, with females performing slightly better than male students.
