During the MTV Video Music Awards, Twitter users were sending more than 8,000 tweets a second – a new record. Granted, few of those (and probably next to none of them) were all that interesting. 2011 has gone to show that the more people that are on Twitter, the more entertaining and occasionally insightful this social medium can be.
