Five out of six Ontario students will be eligible for tuition returns starting in January.
Ontario university students may just get the best boxing day sale ever on their second term tuition payments. The province’s minister of Colleges and Universities has promised that roughly 310,000 students will see their 30 per cent tuition rebates starting in January. College students will receive $730 and university students will receive $1,600 if their family income is under $160,000 annually. OSAP students will receive the money automatically and everyone else will be able to apply online starting in January. The funding was a key component of Liberal "Education Premier" Dalton McGuinty’s campaign, where he first promised the $423 million rebate program.
