Gadhafi Loyalists Reclaim City

Three months after the death of Moammar Gadhafi, cracks appear in the Transitional National Council's rule.
The vestiges of Moammar Gadhafi's army have retaken control of the city of Bani Walid, and have raised Libya's old solid-green flag over the former Gadhafi stronghold. Four revolutionary soldiers were killed, and 25 were injured, just weeks after pro-Gadhafi forces launched an ambush in Bani Walid, killing 13. Reports also indicate that pro-Gadhafi forces also staged attacks in the capital, Tripoli, and in Benghazi, where the Libyan revolution began nearly one year ago. The attacks show that despite the death of Gadhafi in October, there are still many security concerns lingering throughout the country for the Transitional National Council, the interim ruling coalition. They also point to the lack of cohesion among the various factions that make up the TNC, as anti-Gadhafi forces in Bani Walid have blamed the council for not doing enough to properly consolidate their gains across Libya.
