Yadda yadda yadda YOU CAN PRINT ANYTHING YOU WANT OUT OF CHOCOLATE.
Those of you looking to scoop up half-priced chocolate bunnies and eggs in after-Easter sales this week might want to consider saving their dimes for the mother of all chocolate purchases – a 3D chocolate printer. Choc Edge, a company founded by British scientist Liang Hao, hopes to have the printer on sale by the end of April. It works similarly to other 3D printers, but instead of plastic or metal, the material used is sweet, life-affirming chocolate. Simply load up the printer with a few syringes of melted gooey goodness, input the design of your confectionary creation, and the printer brings your wildest chocolate-based dreams to life. Choc Edge says they’ve received interest from a number of chocolatiers around the U.K. (although it’s not like they’d say “nope, haven’t heard a word from anybody about this expensive and more-than-slightly-ridiculous business venture of ours,”, but anyway…). We’re just stoked that our long-held dreams of going Godzilla on a model city made entirely of chocolate is that much closer to reality. We’re, umm, entirely open to donations to make this happen.
