Former Dean, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard UniversityJoseph Nye is the former Dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and is currently the University Distinguished Service Professor there. He served as Deputy to the Undersecretary of State for Security Assistance, Science, and Technology and chaired the National Security Council Group on Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons (1977-79). He also served as Chairman of the National Intelligence Council (1993-94). His latest book published in 2013 is Presidential Leadership and the Creation of the American Era.
