Chairman, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
Rajendra Pachauri, Ph.D., is Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since 2002, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 during his tenure. He is also Director General of New Delhi-based The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), a major independent research organisation that provides knowledge on energy, environment, forestry, biotechnology and the conservation of natural resources.
