Linda Keen

Linda Keen is a Principal with Keen Associates which advises companies and governments on enterprise risk management especially in regulatory matters and stakeholder involvement.
She was the President and CEO of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) from 2000 to 2008 which is the quasi-judicial administrative tribunal and regulatory agency responsible for the oversight of all nuclear facilities and materials. During that time, CNSC had an international reputation for excellence in science at that time. Ms. Keen was the first Canadian elected to oversee the United Nations review of nuclear safety worldwide.
Before being appointed to the CNSC, Ms. Keen was a senior assistant deputy minister in the department of Natural Resources Canada after 20 years in the federal public service working in the mining, agriculture and international market development areas. She is a Certified Corporate Director and serves on the boards of Service Coordination Canada and the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
She is a leader in the science community , possessing a B.Sc. (Honours Chemistry) and a M.Sc. (interdepartmental agricultural sciences).
