Contributor Biography
Dan Brown is a journalist, blogger, and university instructor who lives in rural Ontario near London.
He currently works for The London Free Press, where he blogs and edits copy. He also teaches in both the graduate and undergrad programs in the University of Western Ontario's journalism program.
He has been writing professionally since 1992 and has worked for three of Canada's national news organizations, the National Post, the CBC, and the Globe and Mail, as well as one provincial paper, several city dailies, and a number of community publications.
Dan has written the gamut, from columns to arts profiles to hard news to blog posts. His blog, Cool Blog Name to Come, was founded in 2006.
Dan has taught at the graduate, undergrad, and college levels. He developed his Western course, Arts and Entertainment Journalism, based on his experiences as an arts writer for more than 18 years. He has also taught at Ryerson University, Conestoga College, and the University of Guelph.
Dan appears on local AM radio in London as a commentator and is also a regular guest on Behind the Story, the CTS series devoted to issues of media and faith.
He is married with two shelter cats.
