Trevor McKee

Contributor Biography
Dr. McKee works as a postdoctoral Fellow at the Ontario Cancer Institute, where he is developing novel methods for high resolution imaging in biological samples at the laboratory of Dr. Rama Khokha, a Senior Scientist in the Department of Medical Biophysics. He received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005, for research on improving drug and gene therapy delivery methods, and on the application of high resolution imaging methods to the field of cancer research. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and biotechnology in 1999, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Buffalo.
McKee has co-authored 10 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious scientific journals such as Nature Medicine, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Cancer Research. His interests beyond the laboratory include being the founding president of the University of Toronto Postdoctoral Association, being a founding steering committee member of the Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Scholars, and being on the Organizing Committee for the Canadian Science Policy Conference, planned for late October 2009.
His interests include the commercialization of scientific research, and the improvment of postdoctoral training in Canada.
