Shashi Bhat is an Assistant Professor in Dalhousie University's English Department. She received her MFA in fiction from The Johns Hopkins University and her BA from Cornell University. Her fiction has appeared in several journals, including The Missouri Review, Event, and The Threepenny Review, and her novel is forthcoming in 2012 from Cormorant Books.
