Susan Babbitt

Contributor Biography
Dr. Babbitt has taught in the Department of Philosophy at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, since 1990. She received her BA and MA from the University of Ottawa and her Ph.D in 1991 from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
She has published two books on rationality and moral imagination: Impossible Dream: Rationality, Integrity and Moral Imagination (1996) and Artless Integrity: Moral Imagination, Agency, and Stories (2001). She also co-edited (with Sue Campbell) Racism and Philosophy (1999).
She has worked extensively in Cuba, speaks fluent Spanish and is currently writing a book on 19th-century Cuban philosopher José Martí.
