Contributor Biography

In just over a decade in the entertainment business, Mr. Levine has accumulated a wide variety of experiences in both TV and film.

A Toronto native, he began his career as a segment producer for internationally broadcast Fashion Television. While at Fashion, he wrote and produced over 100 segments, interviewed people such as Frank Gehry and Philippe Stark, and traveled to places like South Africa, Iceland, the Yukon and Jamaica in search of a good story.

Levine has since produced a number of award winning feature films, including the documentary, The Bodybuilder and I and the dramatic feature, Real Time starring Oscar nominee Randy Quaid. Levine has also written two Hollywood features: UKM (2006) starring Michael Madsen and Bitten (2008) with Jason Mewes.

Levine is a graduate of Norman Jewison’s The Canadian Film Centre, where only eight Canadians are selected each year to participate. Levine is also a Genie nominee, for his short film Choke, and former Genie committee member.
