Dr. Béland is Canada Research Chair in public policy and Professor at the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Saskatchewan. A political sociologist studying politics and policy from a comparative and historical perspective, he has published six books and 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
His current research focuses on issues ranging from globalization and the politics of ideas, to equalization policy and social policy reform in advanced industrial countries.
