The Titanic story is a powerful and familiar one. But 100 years on, there remain many lessons to learn from the disaster.

James P. Delgado, Ph.D. has led or participated in over 100 shipwreck expeditions around the world, including Titanic, USS Arizona and USS Monitor. Wearing his many hats as historian, curator, land and sea archaeologist, scientist, researcher, deep-sea diver, television host, museum director, lecturer, author and storyteller, he has built an incredible foundation of knowledge and experience in his field. For five years, he co-hosted the TV documentary series The Sea Hunters, along with famous novelist and shipwreck hunter, Clive Cussler. He worked with the National Parks Service for 14 years, was Director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum for 15 years, President of the Institute of Nautical Archaeology for five years, and is currently the Director of Maritime Heritage for NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. He is also a highly sought-after speaker, and author of over 33 books.
