Contributor Biography
Ms. Solomon has been a freelance journalist for publications such as The International Herald Tribune and the LA Times. She has won awards for public service and investigative reporting from United Press International and has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. She has received a grant from the Fund for Investigative Journalism and two of her newspaper series led to U.S. senate hearings and legislative change. She was nominated for a CBC award for best short fiction in 2007 and her story on a Vancouver psychotherapist who was refused entry to the U.S. was the inspiration for a Colbert report and was nominated by The Tyee for a Jack Webster journalism award.
She is currently the Publisher of The Vancouver Observer.
