Contributor Biography
Ms. Carson writes and consults on contemporary art, architecture and design. She spent three years in Milan and six years in London, where she managed several art galleries and received her Master's in Art Criticism from City University. As a freelance consultant, her focus is on design and architecture. Her broad range of interests include: branding and innovative design solutions, post-feminist and conceptual installation artwork, architecture and cultural administration.
She is the marketing and communications manager for the Canadian Art Foundation and is part-time faculty in the department of Digital Humanities at Brock University, where she teaches a course on critical writing. She is a board member of Mercer Union Centre for Contemporary Visual Arts and ArtsScene, Toronto. She sits on the Toronto Public Art Committee and is founder and publisher of Canada’s popular daily blog, View on Canadian Art.
