Contributor Biography
An expert in collaboration, negotiation, technology, public policy and public sector renewal, Mr. Eaves serves as a Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Democracy at Queen’s University. In this capacity he serves as a policy adviser, commentator, blogger and frequent speaker to students, academics, policymakers and executives.
He also works as a consultant on behalf of two spin-offs of the Harvard Negotiation Project, where he develops and implements collaborative strategies that enable organizations to maximize the value they generate with community members, partners, alliance members, customers, and suppliers. He has worked with leading companies in North America, Europe and Africa in a range of industries such as: financial services, health care, information technology, open-source software communities, energy, and telecommunications.
He sits on the executive board of Vision Vancouver, the advisory board of Canada’s World, the Steering Committee of the Environics Institute’s Urban Aboriginal People’s Survey and Keeping the Door Open.
He lives in Vancouver, B.C., and holds a Bachelor's in history, Queen’s University, and a Master’s of International Relations, Oxford University. In 2005-2006 he served as a Sauvé Scholar at McGill University and an Action Canada Fellow.
