Contributor Biography
Mr. Denny has over 20 year's experience in artist management, production, strategic marketing, and publicity and communications for a range of music and entertainment projects, corporations, and clients throughout the world. He began his professional life in publicity and communications with Reuters where he was based in London and New York.
He currently manages international hit songwriters Marc Jordan (hits written for Rod Stewart, Josh Groban, Cher, Diana Ross etc), Luke McMaster (hits written for Nick Lachey, Rhianna, Kalan Porter, Eva Avila etc), and power-piano pop combo StereoGoesStellar, whose debut album was released February 28, 2009.
With experience both in-house and agency, he has worked on numerous international projects ranging from Formula 1 sponsorship to providing senior counsel to many clients including: CBS Records, Saatchi & Saatchi Canada, Olivia Newton-John, Mercedes-Benz, adidas, AT&T, Sony/BMG Records, Warner Brothers, RCA Records, Arista, and Capitol/EMI Records to name just a few. His work has allowed him to travel extensively. Apart from Toronto, where he lives, he has spent periods in New York, Paris, and London; where he studied law at the University of London and The University of Westminster.
He is a member of Canadian Music Managers Forum, The Songwriters Association of Canada, The Canadian Association of Recording Arts & Sciences (CARAS), and The Canadian Academy of Cinema & Television. He is currently the Executive Director and Executive Producer of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
