Mr. Evans is Principal with ME Consulting, which offers strategic and tactical digital marketing, communications and social media services to companies looking to establish a stronger online presence.

He has worked for three Internet start-ups – Blanketware (a natural language search service that he co-founded), b5media (one of the world’s largest blog networks) and PlanetEye (online travel planning).

At PlanetEye, he was Director of Community where he oversaw the media relations, public relations and social media strategies, which played a key role in establishing its status as one of the leading online travel planning services.

He spent more than 10 years as a technology journalist (mostly the Internet and telecom) for the National Post, Bloomberg News, and The Globe & Mail.

He writes several blogs, including Mark Evans Tech, Twitterrati, and All About Nortel. Last year, he was named one of Canada’s best technology bloggers by ComputerWorld Canada.

Last, but not least, he is one of the organizers of Canada’s leading Web conference, mesh.
