Contributor Biography

Ms. Banda is currently completing her law degree at Harvard, and writing her doctoral dissertation at Oxford University on the uptake and the implementation of the international "Responsibility to Protect" (R2P) in the aftermath of 9/11. A national winner of the "As Prime Minister" Award and a Canadian Rhodes Scholar, she has worked over the past five years with several international agencies, including: the International Labour Office, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the World Trade Organization, and the UN Association in Canada. She has written on issues of global governance, Canada-U.S. relations, human security, environmental law, and climate change.
