Contributor Biography
Born in Tehran, Iran, Mr. Ashrafi moved to Canada in 2001 an art school graduate. At the age of 17, he held his first exhibtion in Tehran which featured 30 of his photography projects – all of which sold out in less than a week. After coming to Canada, he joined the independent Canadian rock band Soul Nidus as their lead guitar player.
The love of combining photography and music is what led to the creation of Fotograficmemory, one of his side projects in the works for a while now. In today's world, depending on what we do, we rarely find the time to just sit and observe everything that goes on around us. Fotograficmemory tries to make up for that. Memories that you see on Fotograficmemory are combinations of frames from pictures, captured on video, and paired with music. Complementing each "memory" is information about location, the motivation behind it, and the number of photos used. A new installment is produced every Monday.
Veera Photography, another side project of his, is a fashion, portrait, and editing photo service for models of any kind.
