Olivier Jarda

Contributor Biography
Mr. Jarda was born in Ottawa, ON, but has lived in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, and England for considerable amounts of time.
He is formerly of the band Turnstiles, and has toured across Canada and England. He has released two albums as a solo artist and is currently signed to Jam Jar Records (UK).
He won the Rhodes Scholarship in 2007 and recently completed a Master’s in international relations from the University of Oxford, where he received a distinction on his thesis, titled: “Identities of Regime Change: US Foreign Policy Discourse on Haiti, 2000-2004.” He holds a BA in political science (honours) and economics from Saint Mary's University.
He is a Policy Associate at Avoided Deforestation Partners, a project of the Center for International Policy in Washington, D.C.
