Contributor Biography

First elected in 2003, Councillor Stintz represents Toronto's Ward 16 Eglinton-Lawrence. She was born and raised in Toronto and lives in Ward 16 with her husband and two children. Before being elected City Councillor, she acquired seven years of experience in the public and private sectors, managing and delivering multi-million-dollar programs in the health care sector. Earlier, she graduated with an Honours BA from the University of Western Ontario and a Master's of Science in Journalism from Boston University. She also earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Queen's University. Councillor Stintz is vice-chair of the City's Parks and Environment Committee. She also sits on the Pedestrian Committee and Animal Services Council Working Group. She is a member of the Providence Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Design Exchange.
