Mr. Ananny is a Canadian living in San Francisco. He is completing a Ph.D at Stanford University on the impact of new media technologies on the production of news. He is a Trudeau Scholar, a graduate of the University of Toronto and the MIT Media Lab. He spent most of his childhood living on various Canadian Air Force bases.
