Tim Blackmore is a Professor in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario. He writes and teaches about war, popular culture, and media studies. He has written extensively about comics, comic strips, graphic novels, science fiction, technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, war, and the interrelationship between memory and trauma. He wrote War X: Human Extensions in Battlespace (U. of T. press, 2005), and is currently at work on another book about images in and about war.
