In 1996, Mia co-founded High Road Communications, one of Canada’s leading public relations agencies, which she sold to Fleishman-Hillard in 2000. In January 2008, she took on her new role as President of the Canadian region. Mia’s knowledge and expertise encompasses many practice areas, including consumer, marketing, financial, technology and lifestyle. She works in partnership with a number of her clients – Microsoft, LG, Universal Studios and Canon – to develop integrated communications and marketing programs that get noticed in highly competitive and crowded markets. She is particularly proud of the corporate reputation and citizenship work she does on Canon’s national Envirothon conservation awareness initiative and Microsoft’s security and child safety campaigns targeted at both parents and youth. In her roles at both High Road Communications and at Fleishman-Hillard Canada, Mia plays a passionate and integral role in shaping next-gen communications and social networking strategies that drive client success and boost online visibility and dialogue.
