Contributor Biography
Armed with a BA in history and political science from the University of Toronto, Eric entered the workforce as a peon to a Cabinet Minister in the Mike Harris government.
In 1998, Eric moved to Vancouver because he had grown weary of frosty winters and sensed that the West Coast may hold the key to la dolce vita. But as much as he wanted to put the chaos of political life behind him, he was lured back. He joined the BC Liberals.
In 2001, after the BC Liberal sweep, Eric became an aide to the Premier.
Deciding that cold winters were worth weathering just to be back home, Eric returned to Toronto.
After too many years working in conservative politics, Eric underwent a metamorphosis and sits comfortable and happily on the left.
He currently works in health policy full-time, is toiling away on a Masters degree part-time, and writes whenever he can.
He’s done a few things that he thinks are important but is certain anyone else couldn’t care less about the banalities of his life. So he won’t discuss those here.
Eric writes for CityCaucus.com and Rabble.ca.
His passions are his family, writing, running, reading, politics, and anything that challenges his conception of the world around him.
