Contributor Biography

My clients call me the Get What You Want coach, because that is precisely the kind of coach I am. I work with individuals and companies who want to say Yes! to a bigger consciousness, who want to envision and create the big picture of their lives. As a Branding Consultant, I promote legacy value. I support business leaders as they reconnect to their original spark and shift their focus from what they sell to the value of what they offer.

I have been the leader of my life since I could walk – fearless in exploring and creating adventures and opportunities! I wrote my first book at age six and broke into the business world at age eight. That summer, I launched a wholesale pine-nut business on the Italian Riviera, partnering with my cousin Laura and employing my younger sister Ale. (Unfortunately, little Ale ate our entire inventory, plunging my first business into bankruptcy.)

Undaunted, I declared that pine nuts weren’t in our future, and Laura and I jumped right back into business and established a circus troupe. Our star – and only – performer was the family dog, a poodle named Roll. It wasn’t long before we had to roll up our tent, however, for our talent and enthusiasm were no match for our star’s stubborn and insubordinate temperament.

From these early experiences as an entrepreneur, my creative and curious nature has led me down many wonderful paths. In my home of Bergamo, Italy, I received a classical education. Armed with a degree in Greek and Latin – but not a word of English! – I immigrated to Canada at age twenty. In just three years, my entrepreneurial fire reignited, and I opened a restaurant in Edmonton. The Strawberry Café, with its outstanding Italian cuisine and artful décor, brought a cosmopolitan flair to the city.

Next came Vancouver, where I carried on my quest for knowledge and new experiences, taking course after course in continuing education. I taught myself graphic design and built a solid freelance design business, producing graphics and campaigns for many clients.

With a mid-life crisis as the catalyst, I returned to formal academic study and, in 2004, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. My passion for living an authentic life took me to the world of professional coaching, where I earned two certifications and launched my own coaching practice. Now a published author of three books, including 30 Days to a New You, and an e-Course, I am thrilled to own a successful and fulfilling business as a professional coach and motivational speaker.

I never stop learning, and I thrive on all that life has to offer – sharing with others the fruits of my experiences! From tiling floors to knitting with my eyes closed, from professional coaching to volunteering in my community, from cooking to building furniture to fundraising for local schools – my life is rich and full. I love cats, so, true to my philosophy of pushing our personal comfort zone, I have two dogs. I live with integrity, following my heart and creating my reality.
